I found an interesting website whilst I was researching/am researching world diseases and diet.

I was complaining that we’d had no snow. No snow at all whilst the rest of England had lashings of it.

Trouble in Bethlehem

There was trouble in Bethlehem when a sheep suddenly kidnapped Baby Jesus and Joseph and a Shepherd had to use some force on the kidnapper….

In a minor key

Mr Furlong and I have not heard a single carol this year!

Oh great – Solstice is tomorrow

The date of the winter solstice is different every year, falling between December 20th and 23rd.

This year, the solstice will occur on Thursday, December 21. The sun will rise in the UK at 08:03 GMT and set at 15:53 GMT, giving just 7 hours and 50 minutes of daylight. Link

Lights!

The Furlongs are enjoying the Christmas lights on all the houses around us. Some cul de sacs are completely decorated – every house on them, with a collection point for charity at the end.
