Countdown to 2015

2014 is nearly over. For the Furlongs it’s been both a good year and a year of problems.

For me, it’s been good. I’ve kept my sugar normal all year on my high fat, ketogenic diet.

Buy nothing

There used to be “buy nothing” days when I was young.

Keeping it simple

For a long time, I have been moving to keeping things simple. This Christmas, I tried to carry my ideas through to Christmas gifts.

Christmas reaping

Christmas in the west could be a wonderful way to spread peace on Earth. Maybe it makes a small difference to the progress of human goodwill. If you believe that we reap what we sow, we must reap a few good things from Christmas.

Karma

I believe that the idea of reincarnation and karma is a most satisfying one. Well it is for me. I never have to feel vengeance. Whoever it is that did me wrong will have to rectify it in some way at some other time. I don’t have to do anything. It’s a natural law.
