We have a newly discovered 80th ORGAN!
It’s under our skin – in fact its everywhere. It’s called
THE INTERSTITIUM
And it is filled with fluid/water.
A newfound organ, the interstitium, is seen here beneath the top layer of skin. It is also in tissue layers lining the gut, lungs, blood vessels and muscles. The organ is a bodywide network of interconnected, fluid-filled compartments supported by a meshwork of strong, flexible proteins.

“This finding has potential to drive dramatic advances in medicine, including the possibility that the direct sampling of interstitial fluid may become a powerful diagnostic tool,” he said.
It is not visible under our normal microscopes because it simply deflates on a slide.
I wonder what other body systems there are that we haven’t discovered yet?
