Mr Furlong came home from collecting his medication at the medical centre. The miracle was, that for the first time since we have been living ‘in town’ here, it was CORRECT!

We have had three days of the most perfect weather here. It lulls you into a feeling that the world is good, life is good and that even though the dog died, there is something really delightful in watching happy birds, spring bulbs poking out of the ground, and enjoying this wonderful feeling of spring arriving.

Everything feels right with the world and life.

But

Mr Furlong said “Your doctor is leaving the surgery at the end of the month.”

“Oh no! I just got to really like him. How do you know?” I asked.

“There was a notice on the wall in the surgery.” replied Mr Furlong.

“No. No. No. He was the first doctor I really, really liked and trusted.”

And says he

“The TV tells us there is a ‘polar vortex’ driving down upon us in a few days.”

Oh no – really?

“What a pest. Damn!”
