Our hot, sunny bank holiday

Our hot, sunny bank holiday was cloudy, cold, windy and now it’s raining.

There is something childish inside of me when I often feel cross with science for always being RIGHT.  Science says this, science says that. You cannot believe in unicorns or fairies – or even God ’cause science says they aren’t there. Science is always pontificating about something or other. It’s always so annoyingly right!

This weekend science told us it was going to be the hottest August Bank Holiday ever and the sun would shine.

Well, I repeat, today, at our place, it was cloudy, cold, windy and now it’s raining.

I feel quite ebullient that science was WRONG!

How refreshing.

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!

  1. Yesterday we had summer, though I spent some of it driving round the peninsula to recharge my car’s battery. BUT the weather was stunning. Then, just to remind us that the weather fairies know that we have a water crisis, it was raining this morning! Thank goodness.
