The Last Furlong

Comments on the race of life.

Oh FFS who are our enemies?

Really, The UK is a mess!

Jeremy Corbyn is a dangerous man. I saw him last night on TV haranguing the protest crowds in London.

I didn’t believe what he was saying. He is stirring up people for his own political gain. FOMENTING ANGER. Encouraging revolution.

For his new communist/socialist labour party.

I don’t think anyone has done that since  JC’s chum Arthur Scargill promoted revolution, lost to Maggie Thatcher and later, formed the Socialist Labour Party.

I think Corbyn has become an undesireable radical and a shame to Labour.

I used to like him when he was quietly spoken, polite, logical and human.

Now is NOT the time for a revolution. Unless you are utterly amoral. NOW is the time for co-operation and peace – for healing.

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!

  1. “NOW is the time for co-operation and peace – for healing.”

Ten years to the day after the government ended civil liberty, took away property rights and a year or two before we are de-citizenised by Brexit? You may not value your EU Citizenship-that’s your right and if you personally wanted to give it up I would be the first to support your right to do so but to declare me no longer a citizen against my will? That is fascism pure and simple, there really is no other word for it.

There can be no forgiveness for the smoking verbot and no healing the wounds of Brexit. Now is not the time for healing, now is the time to grab some popcorn, sit back and watch this country tear itself apart.

  2. Corbyn thinks all of his birthdays have come at once. But he jumped too soon. Too many Labour Councils involved in this latest scandal, and he can’t ultimately hold The Tories responsible for problems that began during a Labour Government.
This will all come out eventually. Meanwhile he is making hay while the Sun shines when Winter isn’t that far off.
I would, as usual be falling about laughing from this side of the Channel if it weren’t so serious.
