Ramadan 26th May to 24th June

Today is Pentecost  –

  1. the Christian festival celebrating the descent of the Holy Spirit on the disciples of Jesus after his Ascension, held on the seventh Sunday after Easter.
  2. the Jewish festival of Shavuoth.

And the day of a suicide attack in London.

I recently read that the month of Ramadan was once a time when violent Jihad was suspended, but now it’s prime time for killing.

Why, for me this is worse than the IRA bombings in 1974 when I was here in the UK, is that the IRA  bombings were for a political cause, a statement against the “oppressor” – whereas, the attacks we have seen recently, are, in essence, personal suicides in the name of Allah.

There is a big difference.

Violent Jihad is a struggle or fight against the enemies of Islam. The west is the infidel. Our culture. our decadence is

Our sin

Until Jihad is practised  as the spiritual struggle within oneself against sin.

Your sin

We are in shit.

Want to commit suicide? You don’t need to wear fake suicide vests to indicate you are purposefully committing suicide.

We know.

The spiritual struggle for all devoted people, no matter their religion, is always within oneself.

It’s a personal, private journey, made in the secret places of our minds.

This does not require suicide.

The victory of spiritual Jihad, is the victory over the living person – oneself. The living person – not the dead one. It’s the victory over

Your sin

Our sin

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!
