Tomorrow this Furlong is going out with her sister. Mr Furlong and the Furlong dog are staying at home.
It’s going to be a really difficult day.
She has vouchers for cake and coffee at the wonderful Garden Centre near us. I can feel my resolve to not eat cake has dissipated already.
She is going to buy pebbles for her garden.
The Furlong garden – the new one we have moved to now, that we are watching with surprise and delight as pleasing plants keep popping up in unexpected places, as we go into spring, has a whole section, of pebble garden. I love pebbles!
I can feel my resolve to not buy anything else this month, has dissipated already.
It’s going to be a difficult day, and I’m enjoying the idea of it already.

Is that the A Raccoon we know and love? If it is, send her love from an unknown admirer – me!

Yes The Raccoon, The chain-vaping Landlady of the Arms.If I do manage it….every time I plan to things happen. She doesn’t live very far from me and yet I last saw her a couple of months back (I posted about it here incase you missed it https://headrambles.com/2017/02/09/raccoon-poop-deaths-door-step/ ). Usually, as with this time around, Granddaughter2 puts paid to my plans by kindly, nay generously, sharing some virus, bacteria or bloody pathogen acquired off the dirty little tinkers she goes to her ‘Mother & Toddler’ Staffel with me and her ‘Omi’ (German for ‘nana’) and there is no way I want to take that sort of gift with me to visit a woman who has pretty much jumped every scythe the Grim Reaper has swung her way so far.
Long and short, IF I see her anytime soon of course I shall pass on your best wishes, although TBH I had assumed you knew her…it never ceasing to amaze me how many people, and household names, that bloody woman knows online in the murkiest corners of the intrawebz and IRL!
I once jokingly suggested she knew The Twins-to which she replied ‘Not really but I knew their Mum and still have the scarf she gave me one Xmas’.
