The Last Furlong

Comments on the race of life.

I voted for Brexit. I am the “mob” in “mob rule”? No – THIS is a mob

I am a great fan of Jordan B Peterson. He is a Canadian lecturer and his lectures online are absolutely fascinating – Jordan Peterson on YouTube .

He has fallen foul of the LBGTQ etc etc students.

On 27 September 2016, Peterson released the first part of a three-part lecture video series on political correctness. In the video, he objects to the Canadian government’s Bill C-16, which proposes to add “gender identity or expression” as a prohibited ground of discrimination under the Canadian Human Rights Act, as well to the list of identifiable groups against whom it is illegal to promote genocide or publicly incite hatred under the Criminal Code. His objection to the bill did not concern the LGBT discrimination legal debate, but rather the freedom of speech implications of C-16’s other amendments to the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code, regarding their accommodation language. Furthermore, he argued that the new amendments paired with section 46.3 of the Ontario Human Rights Code would make it possible for “employers and organizations to be subject to punishment under the code if any employee or associate says anything that can be construed as ‘directly or indirectly’ offensive.” Peterson further argues that it is necessary for people to recognize the importance of free speech and particularly free speech on college campuses.

But, the LGBTQ etc etc crowd has translated this personally. They are on a hate mission.

He’s in the shit, to put it bluntly.

He was one of a panel invited to speak at an event focused (ironically) on the subject of political correctness & free speech. None of the panel turned up.

If you can stomach to watch the video, this is how he was treated. At about nine minutes and thirty seconds into the video, he suggests that those who want to hear him speak, go outside. Which they do.

This is “university education” nowadays.

This is leftist political correctness so far gone it has become a truly insane “mob”.

Brexit? Rule by the mob? The populist vote? Oh, rubbish. We voted because we need a bit of sanity in all the left, left, left politics we endure. We aren’t stupid!

I reckon our universities which are now so left of the left, that they are cork-screwed, should look to the kind of kids that are growing up under THEIR watch.

Education has become rule by the mob.

And you can hear the whining, the self-righteousness and entitlement that comes from the young remoaners, complaining that the Referendum was “not fair”. I bet a ton of them have been cork-screwed!

  1. You voted *for* BREXIT?!?!?- I never would have guessed 😛

Personally I think the brexiteurs have quite alot in common with The London Mob , unfortunately so do the Remainers. But that’s what comes from our elected politicians of a sovereign independent parliament taking complete and utter leave of their democratic senses and *asking* the People what they want. You either have democracy or you have ‘Mob Rule’ which is the correct term for Plebis-cides.

Currently example, if the democratically elected Scottish Parliament has voted with a thumping majority to leave the UK then as far as I can see it should happen tomorrow. That’s democracy. Asking The People isn’t.
