Courageous people Manning and Assange

Assange has been illegally imprisoned by the UK Government in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Chelsea Manning has been imprisoned in the USA . Obama is freeing Manning which seems a turn-up for the books.

Is it out of compassion, or a change of heart?

No.

I dont think so.

I think Assange is who they really want.

Assange has given his “life” for Manning. Chelsea Manning has had a difficult time, being imprisoned whilst she transitioned gender.

Assange, too, in his “prison” has been an illegally held political prisoner, cut off from his family.

Courageous people indeed!

“If Obama grants Manning clemency Assange will agree to US extradition despite clear unconstitutionality of DoJ case.”

Or

“The president’s decision to grant clemency and offer commutation to Chelsea Manning was not influenced in any way by public comments from Assange or the WikiLeaks organization,” a White House official said on a conference call with reporters.

Hum – do we believe that?

If Britain had any guts, they would refuse the extraditionof Assange to the USA.

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!

  1. There is some debate over whether Assange is still in the Ecuadorian Embassy. There is a very interesting set of “coincidental” events around the end of October – try a search for Assange proof of life …….
