People with higher cholesterol live longer so why take statins?

I’ve just had my Hba1c test at the doctors. It’s coming up for my annual birthday review. Everything about me now, is exactly the same as it was a year ago!

My cholesterol has remained the same since 2002 when I first was “offered” statins. Thank god I said I’d rather go on smoking instead!

Statins are horrid things despite the shite we hear from our medical experts!

I eat a high fat diet, and have for years. And in the last 14 years, I’ve eaten a VERY high fat diet.

But the booklet that was handed to me about my “annual review” at the doctor’s says everyone over the age of 40 should be taking statins. And this from the NHS!!!!!!!

That’s CRIMINAL.

“There is no link between high cholesterol and heart disease in people over 60, a major study has found.

Health officials are accused of fear-mongering as a comprehensive analysis reveals that older people with high levels of “bad” cholesterol actually live longer.

Heart specialists have called for NHS guidelines to be overhauled completely. They question whether the millions of people in Britain who are prescribed cholesterol-lowering drugs are being wrongly medicated.

“The truth has always been out there: that the cholesterol hypothesis is wrong,” Malcolm Kendrick, a GP and co-author of the study, said.”

People with higher cholesterol live longer so why take statins?

People with higher cholesterol live longer. Cholesterol is required by every cell in our bodies! And people with higher cholesterol live longer. Even “bad” cholesterol!

I’ll say that again – people with higher cholesterol live longer.

Keep away from Statins!
