Remember those people who cannot be named? This is about them…

I wrote some posts on those celebrities who cannot be named in England and Wales.

Money is power – celebrity power

I found this article written from Ireland – so naming is all right. I thought it was pretty good – enjoy.

I cannot publish quotes from it because it names those I cannot name.

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!

  1. Sooo… two things I’m not clear on:

    1) What if *I*, sitting over here in Philadelphia, typed one of The Forbidden Names into my comment here? Might our Furlong spend his last days jailed in the Tower Of London (Do they still jail people there? Maybe just Internet Violators?) if he refused to pay a fine for my transgression? If I posted that name 100 times here, would he have to pay 100 fines? If I posted the name 1,000 times on some of the Brit Antismoker sites, could I put them out of business?

    2) What happens if one of the Forbidden Names is a star in a movie or the singer of a popular song? Can their names be mentioned in any ads or on the air? What if one of them turns into an axe-murderer over the next few days? Will the news have to report on “the suspect, Forbidden Name, was found waving the bloody axe over his head in the middle of a pile of gory corpses and twitching-soon-to-be-corpses while screaming “I Killed Them ALL! Every Last One!!! With my AXE!!!” And if that suspect is eventually tried in court, will they have to refer to him as The Forbidden Name as he receives his guilty verdict?

    • Ha ha – I think YOU can say the names – but not me. I don’t think it would apply to an axe murder. It only applies in connection with cuckolding your partner by having group sex in a hot tub – that sort of thing!

  2. The link does not seem to take you to the specific page? Maybe they’ve had to take it down?
