I was astonished when our leader, Mr Cameron, took it upon himself to lead the “Stay in the European Union” movement for our coming Referendum.
Surely he should leave that to someone else?
Then THE GOVERNMENT (on our behalf?) are promoting “Stay IN”.
Surely the government, officially, should be neutral – two opposing sections of THE PEOPLE, should be proposing “Stay in” or “Get out” TO the government? They should be watching, waiting to see which way THE PEOPLE will require them to act.
Or have I got politics completely wrong?
Now we are going to be lobbied with our own £10 000000 to “Stay in”. Fancy, glossy, expensive brochures are going to land in our houses telling us why leaving the EU is a bad idea.
Squandering money they haven’t got.
Are we going to believe a word of it?
Well I’m not. It’ll be Conservative spin and propaganda – and patronising.
I find the whole thing an offensive use of power.
