Yorkshire Terriers, and some other kinds of dogs too, do not have fur. They have hair – like humans. They are especially good dogs for people with dog allergies for this reason. Most dogs have an undercoat under their “hair”. I know you get combs that strip off the outer hair to show the undercoat. Westies – West Highland Whites – have this done to them.
Today, our Furlong dog, is going to be clipped. He has wondrous shiny hair as a result of being a totally Paleo-diet dog. He eats only raw meat and some vegetables.
So I thought I’d post this photo of his beautiful silver hair as a memory for me. Later, it’s all going to be gone!

So cute and then some, you should see the faces it can pull when it wants something, it’s no wonder they get so fat. She could put dogs trust actor dogs to shame. Ours isn’t overweight but it tries it’s best to convince us it’s starving. I have never come across a more food orientated dog in my life!
On the fur oops hair I’m au natural, Mrs Fly is for clipped and tidy, tried that with me over the years and failed miserably. I’ve been winning for a couple of years but cavalier ears can be a nightmare. We have three in the family and they are comprehensively ruined. But no fat ones.
PS your dogs hair looks like the back of Mrs Fly’s head.
