Marilyn Monroe and Kennedy

Monroe and Kennedy – wonderful photo!

In a way, this is such an illuminating photograph – supposedly snapped secretly. But for me, it shows how often women are delighted and overwhelmed when men of power “take notice” of them.  What do you think Marilyn Monroe is feeling?  Exultation? Joy? Elation?

For someone who already had the world “loving” her, this small moment in her life seems to epitomise the loneliness of celebrities, who need confirmation that they are really lovable. Marilyn Monroe was constantly in search of her own worth.

I thought she was a most intriguing person. No “lookalike” Marilyn in any movie, or documentary, can every capture her charisma.

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!
