I’ve just been watching the witch hunt against Simon Danczuk MP for Rochdale.
The guns are blazing!
Ken Livingston suggested on the BBC that a 49-year-old man texting a 17-year-old girl was approaching pedophilia. I REALLY am sick of the way people are so focussed on child abuse, they cease to think straight!
Sophena Houlihan, to whom Danczuk sent numerous messages (messages? – what kind of messages?) including one asking if she wanted a “spanking” was 17 years old.
At seventeen she is not a child, she is free of parental constraints and can legally leave home.
But I must say, in MY day, 16 and 17-year-old girls were often delighted to have confirmation they were “desirable” and stupid enough to lead men on. They were one half of the problem. An active part, in many cases. They did not feel “criminal”. And they did leave home to become completely independent – much naughtiness ensued!
Modern girls must be similar – human nature has hardly changed since girls felt “pretty” – once in the Stone-age.
If Sophena Houlihan didn’t want a boozy old man hitting on her, she could have simply blocked him on Twitter!
