The Last Furlong

The Furlongs received treasure today.

We dug horse bedding peppered with lovely dung and lots of worms into seven or eight feed bags and brought them home in our car. No smell! NO smell…isn’t that strange?

Furthermore, we brought home three bales of very old hay – beautiful de-composing hay. Actually, hay has a really nice smell. It wasn’t that decomposing, but just thinking about de-composing.

Tomorrow, if it is not raining, we’ll continue with our no dig vegetable garden.

With all that great de-composing stuff, and all the worms, it will be perfect by Spring!
