To add to my complaints about the eternal rain we have had in The Furlong area here, we now have had damned Desmond passing over us.
As predicted, I have just heard an addled politician on TV, say this is a result of Global Warming and it “will happen more” as the climate changes.
The world has not warmed since 1997.

Studying HISTORY is quite a good tool for helping people like politicians remain free of bullshit. In fact, the last storm THIS big was many, many years ago. I’m too young to remember it.

They did the same with the Cockermouth floods in 2009, global warming blamed, obviously never read or didn’t declare knowledge of history.
Earliest recorded flooding was in 1761 since then flooding has occurred in 1771, 1852, 1874, 1918, 1931, 1932 , 1933, 1938, 1954, 1966, 2005, 2008, 2009.
Makes I mad, mad I say. And the morons suck it up.

I’m 99% sure that the whole shebang started with someone’s, though misguided, best intentions.
I’m all for responsible stewardship of the planet re pollution and energy, fossil fuel is finite but there’s a good few hundreds of years worth left yet.
The problem we have with the save the earth meme is it’s such an easy sell, doing your bit gives rise to feeling good about yourself and the automatic condemnation of those who don’t accept it as such, boy have they capitalised on it.
The corporates have grabbed it, including big oil as people like to describe it, governments, councils, tax authorities, NGO’s et al. It’s god’s gift to all of them. They get us to feel guilty while they rob our eyes out. The added bonus to the UN and governments is the control potential. He who has the switch controls the world.
The problem we have is adherents to this philosophy have now infested all entities in all areas, despite evidence to the contrary the snowball on the hill is still gaining mass and still accelerating.
Meanwhile in the area of good news………….there isn’t any, we’re …..’ked aren’t we.

The salient point is it’s no good us seeing it while 95% of the earth’s populace by design, don’t, regrettably I don’t have the answer. To reiterate we’re…………………..aren’t we. There are some benefits to being old, I don’t have to witness the result.

I don’t have your negativity. I think more and more people are having scales dropping from their eyes. More see now than ever before. The problem I think is the lockdown/stranglehold Corporations have. But even then, there is some hope . Monsanto are being sued, with a hearing next year in The Hague. People OPENLY think Tony Blair should be tried for war crimes. Most people are sick and tired of “Global Warming” and suspicious of the science. We do progress – take heart!
