Phoning Pensions

I just had to phone the Pensions people. The UK government actually.

I am called a “customer” – a customer?

I have to PAY for the call. PAY. I repeat PAY.

I find that truly offensive.

I waited – and waited – and waited. And waited and waited. They made a good profit off me.

The “customer service advisor” who came on the line sounded to be in her nineties!

But she was a star. I really liked her.

Without her, I would have been left STEAMING.

  1. I must say that they have always been helpful to me, and phone me back when asked, being in France an all. But it was some time ago, and I didn’t have to hold on for long.

    • Oh, they’ll make even more money from you if you have to phone from France! You’ll hold on long enough to make a profit for them and THEN you can ask them to phone them back.:-D
