The Last Furlong

Absolutely EUsless

Mr Furlong and I have been watching the refugee crises enfolding on TV. So far, there has been no word, no action, no assistance, no intelligence from those who rule our lives – the EU.

They control the minutia of our lives from what kind of light bulbs we use, to whether I can share seeds from my garden, to fishing in our own waters that are full of fish. The EU is a horrible totalitarian organisation. I am voting OUT.

In April 2016 their Tobacco Control Directive Article 20 that concerns vaping has to be adopted by the UK. It is a really spiteful, vicious piece of legislation. It will interfere with everything I do. Sod them. Vaping products are not tobacco.

But enough of that. What I have also realised, is that in the face of really big things – important things – like population migration of extraordinary proportions, the minutia fiddlers, are absolutely EUsless.

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!

  1. The eu is the absolute antithesis of democracy, the hardest thing to get across to the general populace is it’s a corporate facilitation enterprise. The general perception is it’s generally working for the common good, nothing could be further from the truth, it’s main raison detre is the continuance and aggrandisement of itself. Most of the upper echelons of it are unemployable and for good reason. It hasn’t got our backs it’s standing on them.

It’s a master of espousing soporifics and emotives, what it actually is, it’s a parasite.
