The Last Furlong

Lady Chatterley

Spent some time watching Lady Chatterley’s Lover. AGAIN! Not long ago there was a French movie with the same plot. A chore.

I can’t be doing with all the M’Lady stuff and the bowing and scraping.  Not keen on snot and tears.

I read the book when it was banned.  I can’t say it made any impression much.

But then maybe I lack the refinement of culture. I like to say what I think – and I admire forthrightness in others – bugger convention.

I thought to tell the silly pair, not to run around in thunderstorms. Being struck by lightning must remove lust immediately. But they seemed to manage despite it.

I enjoy the Furlong family – ordinary – plain ordinary. Airs and graces not in our house.  No heirs required to inherit anything, and no graces required to cover up reality.

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!
