Words in black – Homeopathy

My sister is a Homeopath. All the Furlong family use Homeopathy now and again. A fall? Take Arnica. A panic? Take rescue remedy. A mouth ulcer? Take Mercurius. But we all know – Homeopathy doesn’t work, don’t we? They are just sugar pills with absolutely zero effect – except possibly placebo.

My sister is going to have a small operation under general anesthetic. It’s ten days before the op, so she went for all the blood-work and tests.  She had to sign a form. The only sentence on the form, writ large in black was “If you are taking Homeopathic Remedies, stop taking them now.”

So, of course she was fascinated to know why. She asked.

“They can interfere with the anesthetic” replied the nurse.

What?  A little bit of sugar interferes with the anesthetic?

Fall off chair laughing! Makes one think, yes?

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!
