Tonight we watched the programme on TV about dark matter, dark energy and what scientists don’t know. I find it always very refreshing to hear scientists say they don’t know.
It’s even comforting to hear them admit that what they have been working on all their lives might be a wild goose chase as they try to prove their pet theory. It seems to me that is how science should work. In humility.
Physics is full of unknowables. About the cosmos, about us. At a mundane level, as physical bodies, our most invisible part – our sub-atomic level – must function most intricately – as wondrously as any galaxy.
