When Anti Tobacco started their journey to get us to stop smoking, they brainwashed society to believe that NICOTINE was a killer and frightfully addictive. We know a lot about nicotine now. Yet the myth continues.
People still believe the myth, despite the use of patches, gum and other non-smoking uses of nicotine.
Nicotine is not very addictive. Nicotine does not cause cancer. It is not even, comparatively in a table of poisons, deadly poisonous. Nicotine got welded to the idea of cigarettes. Nicotine was given a bad reputation – an untrue reputation – it was lied about. We have been duped by anti tobacco prohibitionists.
Anyone who still believes the myth, needs to update their knowledge base.
If my doctor at our medical centre, or the practice nurse, or the person who takes my blood, answers my question “Does nicotine cause cancer?” with “Yes”, I am going to wonder if they are up-to-date on anything at all.
