Mr Furlong and I live amongst The Howgills.

Their beauty under huge skies never ceases to delight me. I stopped the other day to take this photo at a view-sight that many tourist buses stop at.

I remember feeling disgruntled one day some years ago when I was still working. On my way home, I saw such a bus stopped on the side of the road with loads of passengers standing outside taking photos. It suddenly hit me that THEY had paid big money to come to see what we see every day for free.

My disgruntlement evaporated. I saw the art, the beauty of these amazing hills with refreshed eyes.  I felt the luckiest person in the world.

I'm someone also pounding the Path, just like you.. I'm retired, going into Old Age and loving my life. I'm hoping to remain happy and well for as long as possible. Old Age is not SO bad - yet!
